Safe at Home


I saw her
Walking
In the light
Finally free
And safe
in God’s gentle
Embrace
She smiled
at me
To let me know
Her pain and
Brokenness
Are gone
Now
She is
Healed and
whole in
God’s grace
And love
But . . .
I will ever
Wonder
Why
we couldn’t
Do enough
To keep her safe
at Home.
